Advanced Driver Training in Rotherham
Diversity. Disability. Equality and Inclusion. Everyone Welcome!
Advanced automatic driver training in Rotherham for full licence holders, newly qualified drivers, nervous drivers, experienced motorists and PDIs preparing for the ADI Part 2 test.
Most drivers never take any formal driver training after passing their test. Over time, even experienced drivers can develop habits that affect safety, confidence and enjoyment. Advanced driver training gives you the opportunity to review your driving with an independent professional and build safer, smoother and more planned driving skills.
Can I take advanced driver training in an automatic car? Yes. Advanced driving is not limited to manual cars. Training is delivered in my automatic car and can help you improve observation, planning, positioning, anticipation, risk management and confidence on real roads.
What Is Advanced Driver Training?
Advanced driver training can be tailored to your goals, experience and confidence. You may want to work towards an advanced driving test, prepare for your ADI Part 2 driving ability test, improve motorway confidence, deal with complex roundabouts, reduce driving anxiety or simply become a safer and more thoughtful driver.
“Confidence, knowledge and success.”
— Alistair Stuart ADI
Every session is practical, supportive and focused on the areas that matter to you. That might include observations, hazard perception, road positioning, speed choice, use of mirrors, smooth control, commentary driving, reflective driving, route planning, smart motorways, night driving, parking or managing pressure from other road users.
Advanced Driving for Newly Qualified and Younger Drivers
If you have recently passed your driving test, or you are under 25, further driver training can help you build real-world experience and reduce road risk. You can focus on the areas that feel most challenging, such as driving in the dark, motorway driving, unfamiliar routes, parking, busy junctions or managing nerves when driving alone.
What You Can Work On During Advanced Driver Training
Advanced driving is about developing a more planned, aware and reflective approach behind the wheel. You can work on skills that help you scan the road earlier, recognise risk sooner, stay calmer under pressure and make smoother decisions.
· Observation, anticipation and hazard awareness
· Road positioning and safe speed choice
· Planning for junctions, roundabouts and bends
· Motorway and dual carriageway confidence
· Parking, reversing and low-speed control
· Managing stress, pressure and tailgating
· Reflective driving and honest self-assessment
· Preparation for advanced driving tests or ADI Part 2
Advanced Driving Is About Attitude, Not Just Tests
You do not need to take an advanced driving test to benefit from advanced driver training. Some drivers want to work towards a formal assessment, while others simply want to become safer, smoother and more confident on the road.
“Advanced driving is an attitude to be the safest driver you can be.”
— Alistair Stuart ADI
Learning is at your pace in a relaxed and supportive environment. Training is delivered in my automatic car and can be tailored around your driving goals, confidence and experience.
ADI Part 2 Driving Ability Test Preparation
If you are a potential driving instructor preparing for your ADI Part 2 test, I can support you with focused driving ability training. We can work on the standard of driving expected from a future driving instructor, including control, planning, judgement, road procedure, observations and professional driving habits.
The ADI Part 2 test is a test of driving ability, so preparation should focus on safe, accurate and confident driving across a range of road and traffic conditions.
Price and Lesson Length
All advanced driver training is delivered in my automatic car. Sessions are a minimum of 1.5 hours and cost £60, equivalent to £40 per hour.
